100 miles and everything about it

I don’t like running. In the morning, during lunch or at night. That’s why I decided to run through all of them.
It doesn’t just usually happen that one day you go and think: I’m gonna run a 100 miles today right now! You might do 1 mile, 5 miles or 10 miles. But anything greater than that requires a strategy. Just like with anything else that’s worth it.
These are a couple of lessons I (actively) taught myself:
An idiot with a plan can do more than a genius without one.
You need things to carry for when your skin rubs to blood. You need equipment to protect you from injuries. You need that. And to get that a plan is ABSOLUTELY essential.
You can do no training, but as long as you’re willing to accept getting injured, you can do it.
Sounds harsh. I literally thought “I have supernatural healing abillities.” Not really have I done any training prior to the run itself. I just knew it was gonna hurt and I was fine with it.
When you’re desperate and hopeful, you smile.
I was in pain and desperate. But I knew that I could keep going. So I smiled. I smiled the longest in my life.
When you’re desperate and lose hope, it sucks.
When this happens, you don’t smile anymore. It’s horrible. The rock bottom.
You can achieve almost anything, if you allow ENOUGH TIME.
If you want to run a hundred miles, you gotta run a hundred miles. Period. It will take a long time. And it may take much longer for you especially. .
When you think of girls, you become lazy, weak and tired.
Just don’t do it. It’s bad for the mind and you’ll probably end up falling asleep and become unproductive.
When you’re tired, you make stupid decisions.
I bit into a prickly pear. That says it all.
Injuries
-Back injury: I had a pain in my lower back for more than 2 weeks. It was also the greatest pain during the run itself.
-Feet: Blisters everywhere. It was fine in 2 days.
-Muscles: Hurt for the next 2 days and it was hard to walk. Fine.
Equipment that’s a must
-Tape
-Light
Literally, that’s it. I don’t know where you will be running and if you will need phone etc.
Tape will come useful for many reasons.
I had a few more things: a cell phone, food, a gel, lighters, cigar and so on. All unnecessary.
If you go for it, let me know.
